The Lord God Of Zechariah 14 Is Christ

In this Article I will be going over the entirety of Zechariah 14, which is mostly End Time prophecy and I will be showing you the Scriptural Connections that will show you how Christ is not only God, but the Lord of Zechariah 14. I will be quoting from the King James Version Bible from the Jehovah Witnesses Website. First I will be starting off with Chapter 13 right at the very end.
And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

We read here a prophecy of the End Times or End of Days. The LORD, which means God, says that two-thirds of the people on the earth will be cut off from Him and die, but the remaining third will be "refined liked silver is refined; tried as gold is tried." This is referring to the glorification of our human bodies after the resurrection.  Then the LORD says that that remaining Third will call upon MY NAME, The LORD, then the Lord says those people will say: "The LORD IS MY GOD." This Lord is God, there is no doubt about it. Now let's dive into chapter 14 and see what is said about this Lord.
Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. 2  For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3  Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

Chapter 14 begins with the announcement once again that the End of Days is coming, then the prophecy speaks oh the destruction of Jerusalem, [Most speculate that is is earthly Jerusalem located in Israel, and others speculate that this is referring to the Church on earth because of verse 3 where the LORD will be fighting against any nation who fought against Jerusalem] Now with no doubt that in verse 4 the Jerusalem that is spoken about is the one which is located in Israel.
And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. 5  And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

Verse 4 speaks of of the coming of the LORD GOD. It says the Lord's feet will touch the mount of Olives and it will split. Then verse 5 ends by saying: "the LORD MY GOD WILL COME and all the saints."  So not only is this Lord, who's feet will touch the Mount of Olives when He comes down from Heaven, is God. The Saints in Heaven will also be with the Lord as He descends to the Earth in the End of Days. Okay now quickly I will be going to the New Testament to where this Final coming onto the Mount of Olives is connected in complete perfection and all the Saints will come with Him and the separation of His Chosen ones

There are a few bullet points I am going to show you throughout the New Testament passages that are confirmed of Christ that come from Zechariah 13:8-9 and Zechariah 14

1A. The One who is coming is called Lord
1B. This Lord is Lord as in the sense of God
    2. The separation of the unrighteous and the righteous
    3. The Lord's feet will touch the Mount of Olives when the Lord comes in the End of Days
    4. When the Lord comes, all the saints will come as well
31  “When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit down on his glorious throne. 32  All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate people one from another, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33  And he will put the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on his left. 34  “Then the King will say to those on his right: ‘Come, you who have been blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the founding of the world35  For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36  Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37  Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38  When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39  Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40  And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. 41  Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels42  For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43  I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44  Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45  Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46  And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal

Christ speaking here about Himself with the title, "Son of Man," and calls Himself The King and says, "He will sit down on his glorious throne." So the Son of Man, Christ, is The King and sits on a glorious throne when He comes in the End of Days. He will also be called Lord by the righteous and unrighteous.  [Point 1A] Next we are also told that when Christ comes back, all the angels will come with Him. [Point 4] Then Christ says that ALL NATIONS will be gathered before Him in the End of Days, and that He will separate people from each other like a shepherd separating goats from sheep. He says the sheep will be at His Right hand and the goats will be at His left hand. Christ then says that those on His right, "Come, you who have been blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the founding of the world." Then Christ will say to those on His left, "Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels." Here we read Christ speaking about Zechariah 13:8-9 where He says that is Him who will separate the righteous from the unrighteous, but what is key is that, to be with Christ is to live in glory[the one-third that will be refined like silver and tried like gold] but to be sent away from Christ[the two parts that will be cut off and then die] is to be sent to Hell. [Point 2] This alone here is a claim to Divine Deity, to claim to be God.
24 But Thomas, one of the Twelve, who was called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples were telling him: "We have seen the Lord!" But he said to them: "Unless I see his hands the print of the nails and stick my finger into the print of the nails and stick my hand into his side, I will never believe it." 26 Well, eight days later his disciples were again indoors, and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, although the doors were locked, he stood in their midst and said: "May you have peace." 27 Next he said to Thomas: "Put your finger here, and see my hands, and take your hand and stick it into my side, and doubting but believe." 28 In answer Thomas said to him: "My Lord and my God!"
The event of doubting Saint Thomas, where Saint Thomas is told by the other disciples that they have seen the LORD. [Point 1A] Who is the Lord? Christ. Christ had just resurrected and appeared to the other disciples but Saint Thomas was not present at that time so when they told him that they had seen the Lord, Christ, he did not believe them. So the next time that all twelve disciples were together alone, Christ appeared again and singled out Saint Thomas so that Saint Thomas would believe. After Saint Thomas was singled out, He spoke to Christ who was physically there before him and said: "MY LORD AND MY GOD." Wow, now the Kingdom Interlinear is ever more destroying for these Arians because their own Interlinear transcribes Saint Thomas's words as: "The Lord of me and the God of me." [Point 1B] Now there is no doubt that Christ was the Lord of Saint Thomas because previously the disciples just called Him Lord and Saint Thomas did not believe it. So then when Christ is manifested before Saint Thomas, Thomas calls Him Lord, but also calls Him God. Christ does not go on to rebuke Saint Thomas for calling Him Lord and God, but goes on to give another Beatitude: “Because you have seen me, have you believed? Happy are those who have not seen and yet believe.” - John 20:29
And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10  And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11  Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. 12  Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day’s journey.

The Ascension of Christ. Christ was raised into the sky and disappeared from sight. As the Apostles kept looking upwards towards the heavens where Christ had been lifted up by clouds, two men, presumably Angels, appeared in white clothing and told them, "Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven shall so come in a like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven." Then after this, the Apostles went from the mountain called Olivet, or the MOUNT OF OLIVES. So the two Angels told us that when Christ comes back, it will be on the clouds and come down to the Mount of Olives.[Point 3]
Now let's get back to Zechariah.
6  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light. 8  And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.

Verses 6-7 is about the End of Days, Judgement Day. The way to translate verse 6 is heavily debated, the New Catholic Bible translates it as: "6 On that day there will be neither cold nor frost." Now the most important part of Section 3 is in verse 7, "But it shall be on day which shall be known to the LORD." This shall be interpreted as "a day that only the Lord knows." What does this mean? The Lord who is coming knows the day that is the End of Days, Judgement Day. I know that the Arianists will be quick to quote a verse that I am going to use against them.
36  But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 37  But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Here Christ is speaking about Judgement Day, and He says, "about the day and hour no man knows" I am sure that If we could have heard this speech from our Lord, Christ, we would have heard Him emphasize the word "man" in this sentence. Why do I make this bold assumption? Because Christ is telling us that He is limited in His power while He is on earth still. As man, as the Messiah who had not died and been raised yet to achieve victory, He limited Himself to such knowledge. Obviously Jehovah witnesses do not believe Christ is God, they believe He was just a Man in his nature while on Earth. But How do we know that Christ was limited while on Earth before His death and resurrection?
5  Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with GodBut made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8  And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Here we are told Christ is in the form of God, and God has no form that man can comprehend so what God the Father is, Christ also is. Next verse 6 which is frequently translated in a very odd way that can be confusing, means that Christ did not exploit this fact when He came into the world nor did not try to remain with such power rather verse 7 tells that Christ made himself with no reputation [ex. being the King Messiah who is the Lord of David and is called the King of all the earth, was born in a manger in Bethlehem, not in some grand palace in a castle, born to a virgin woman and a carpenter, not a earthly king and queen.]
Verse 7 also shows us that Christ existed before His incarnation and He had authority over His incarnation and what form He would take. Verse 7 also tells us that Christ was incarnated into the form of the servant, the likeness of men. Verse 8 informs us that He also humbled Himself, meaning He limited Himself because He had not fulfilled His task of dying and resurrection to redeem the world. Meaning that He kept Himself from knowing the day of Judgement while on Earth in the form of a servant.
9  And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

The Lord God will be King over all the earth. Now we already have established the Lord is Christ, so Christ will be King over all the earth. Then we are told that in the day of Judgement, there will be one Lord, Christ and his name one, which frequently is interpreted as worshiped alone.
16  And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. 17  And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.

The people who are left of the nations, the righteous will go and worship the King, the Lord of Hosts, God, who undeniably Christ. This is also reflected again in verse 17. Now how do we know that Christ is the Lord of Hosts
27  For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
30  And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
31  When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

It can cannot be any clearer that Christ has authority over the angels and the angels are under His command. Christ is the Lord of the Heavenly Host. And with this the Article is finished that I have now shown you Christ is the Lord God of Zechariah 14.

"The LORD bless you
and keep you;
the LORD make His face shine upon you
and be gracious to you;
the LORD turn His face toward you
and give you peace." ☦
