Jesus Christ Is God Part II
This is a continuation of the previous article I did in which I went over many verses that contradict the teaching of the Jehovah witnesses' that Christ is not God. However, from the passages I gave you, it is quite clear that CHRIST IS GOD.
- Matthew 1:21 Part I
So in English we render Christ's name as "Jesus" but in Greek its (Ἰησοῦν)(lēsoun). In Hebrew is name is Yehoshua which is commonly shortened to Yeshua, but do you know what Yehoshua means? It means 'GOD IS SALVATION' So Jesus who will save HIS people is called God is Salvation. Interesting choice.
- Psalms 130:7-8 Part II
- Matthew 19:25-26 Part III
- Psalm 130:3-4 Part IV
So these verses show that according to the Bible, that God alone can save men from sin, no man can save himself.
- Matthew 1:23 Part V
So again, Jesus who supposedly is not God, is going to be called WITH US IS GOD. Now they changed the word 'the' to 'is' but it doesn't help their lies.
- Titus 2:10 Part I
- Titus 2:13 Part II
If you look to the Greek word that is translated to 'of Savior', I have not seen a way that it translated to 'of Savior' meaning the Greek actually reads: 'of the great God and Savior of us of Christ Jesus,' meaning that Christ is God and Savior.
- Job 37:5 Part I
- Ephesians 3:19 Part II
In Job we are told that God does great things that go beyond our understanding, or can comprehend. Then in Ephesians, Paul said that Christ has a love that surpasses our knowledge. How so? How does someone who supposedly is not God have love that is so great that it goes beyond our understanding?
- Philippians 1:19 Part I
What spirit belongs to Christ? The Trinitarians know, but to a Jehovah witness, what spirit belongs to Christ? Well, The Jehovah witnesses helped answer this question for themselves in advance. Here is the passage they cite "+",
- John 15:26 Part II
Paul is telling us that the Spirit of Truth that comes from the Father, the HOLY SPIRIT, belongs to Christ. So as it belongs to the Father, it belongs to the Son. What the Holy Spirit does for the Father, it does for the Son.
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; So when someone looks at Christ they are seeing the image of God? The INVISIBLE GOD? How does a flesh and blood body embody the likeness of the true God? Christ had to be God to be the image of God. Let's say there is you and me. And I say that you are the image of me, and I give someone an picture of you to them, will they not look at me and question why I am not in the picture. So in the same way, to be the image of God, doesn't the image have to have God within it? How does a supposedly total flesh and blood, normal man, represent the image of God? That man would have to be God within a flesh and blood body to give Himself a form for mankind and take on that form for it to be the image of Himself.
- Philippians 2:7 Part I
- Mark 5:6-13 Part II
Philippians tells us that Christ had some sort of form that was above what is human, and yet humbled Himself and became human as well. Then back in Mark we are told that the demons inside this man saw Christ from a distance and ran to bow down to Him. So demons, who are a spirit and have their own form, saw Jesus' physical body yet they could see that He was not merely human. They knew who He was from when He was not human. Now this translation doesn't translate that well what the demon said in the first of this sentence, but in the NIV, it translates, 'what do you want with me'. So they knew that Christ was of importance and were scared that He came to them. Then what do the demons call Christ? SON OF THE MOST HIGH GOD, they do not call him the Son of Man but the Son of God. They then invoked the Father asking that Christ would not torture them. So clearly the demons know that Christ is some being that is beyond human and has the power to torture demons. Meaning He is above demons and demons fear Him. They then began begging Christ not to send them into the abyss. These demons know that Christ has authority over who goes into the abyss if He wills. They began to plead with Christ to send them into a herd of pigs. Christ allowed it, then the pigs ran off a cliff and drowned in the water below.
- Matthew 21:9-11 Part I KJV
- Psalm 118:25-26 Part II KJV
- Matthew 21:14-16 Part III KJV
- Psalm 8:1-2 Part IV KJV
In verses 9-11 of Matthew that multitudes of people were following Christ saying HOSANNA came to mean with this event, 'Salvation has come!' but Hosanna is derived from the Hebrew, 'hoshiya na' which sounds like it obviously. And what does 'hoshiya na' mean? It means: "Save, please!" Which is said to God in Psalm 118:25. Then little children came saying Hosanna to Christ and the Chief Priests and scribes heard them and that is why they ask Christ why He is allowing them to say such things. Because these things are to be said to God, and they are saying these things to someone who appears to be man. Then Christ asks them if they have never read Psalm 8:1-2 and there it talks about praises of babes and sucklings being said to the Lord, which is God in context. So Christ is asking the Priests why they are surprised that babes and sucklings are singing praises to their God.
- Genesis 41:28 Part I
38 So Pharaoh said to his servants: "Can another man be found like this one in whom there is the spirit of God?"
- Exodus 31:3 Part II
- 2 Samuel 23:2-3 Part III
- Nehemiah 9:20 Part IV
- Nehemiah 9:30 Part V
- Isaiah 61:1 Part VI
- Zechariah 7:12 Part VII
- 1 Peter 1:10-12 VIII
If you are new to my articles, you are probably reading 1 Peter and not seeing the contradiction. And that is because it was purposefully left out from the Greek. They translated it correctly in their Interlinear but perverted it when translating to English:
Wait, so your telling me that Christ has a Spirit, and It was the One that talked to and thru the prophets in the Old Testament. The same Spirit that was called JEHOVAH'S SPIRIT? You now see why the society left it out, because that would go against their teachings and beliefs (despite everything I've shown to you already which is quite a lot) So they left it out because this same Holy Spirit was called Jehovah's Spirit.
Earlier I used the verse Philippians 2:7 and I am now going to touch back on it, using the 1984 Edition of the New World Translation, NWT.
- Philippians 2:5-8 1984 NWT
So Christ was existing in His pre-incarnation, in the same form that God the Father has. Meaning that what God the Father is, Christ is also in form and characteristic. See this link that explains the Greek word, (morfí) which was translated to 'form': https://www.wordreference.com/gren/μορφῇ
So Christ is of the same being that the Father is, but when He decided to come down as the Messiah, He decided that He should be at a position of authority lower then God the Father by taking on a human body and soul as well as having His own being, while on earth. He made His body like that of every other human, having the same limitations humans do and not letting His divine being and power make Him appear beyond human unless He did something miraculous to show His authority but His body was like every other. As you can see I underlined the term 'torture stake' which is an unfortunate and disgusting teaching of these spiritual perverts that I will go over in a later article.
"The LORD bless you
and keep you;
the LORD make His face shine upon you
and be gracious to you;
the LORD turn His face toward you
and give you peace." ☦
