The Word Of Jehovah Is Jehovah Part I

This article will be going over many verses throughout the Hebrew Scriptures[Old Testament] that touch upon a "person" known to us readers and believers as, 'The Word of Jehovah', and I will be making the connection of the Word of Jehovah to the Name of Jehovah and the Voice of Jehovah as well.

    Who is the Word of Jehovah? Christ. All Christians know Christ by this name due to John 1:1, however how many of you realize the Word of Jehovah was very active in the Old Testament? Yes, Christ Jesus, not known at that time because it was His pre-incarnation, was very active in the Old Testament in your very Bible. If I have found and counted every occurrence correctly, The Word of Jehovah appears or appeared a total of 123 at least* as a "person" that is seen and or is speaking or being spoken to.
   Gen.15:1, 1Sam.15:10, 2Sam.7:4, 1Kg.6:11, Kg.12:22, 1Kg.13:1, 1Kg.13:5, 1Kg.13:9, 1Kg.13:17, 1Kg.13:20, 1Kg.16:1, 1Kg.16:12, 1Kg.17:2, 1Kg.17:8, 1Kg.20:35, 2Kg.3:12, 2Kg.20:19, 1Ch.17:3, 2Ch.11:2, 2Ch.12:7, Is.38:4, Jer.1:2, Jer.1:4, Jer.1:11, Jer.1:13, Jer.2:1, Jer.13:3, Jer.14:1, Jer.16:1, Jer.17:15, Jer.18:5, Jer.24:4, Jer.25:3, Jer.29:30, Jer.32:6, Jer.32:26, Jer.33:1, Jer.33:19, Jer.33:23, Jer.35:12, Jer.36:27, Jer.37:6, Jer.39:15, Jer.42:7, Jer.43:8, Jer.46:1, Jer.47:1, Jer.49:34, Ezk.1:3, Ezk.3:16, Ezk.6:1, Ezk.7:1, Ezk.11:14, Ezk.12:1, Ezk.12:8, Ezk.12:17, Ezk.12:21, Ezk.12:26, Ezk.13:1, Ezk.14:2, Ezk14:12, Ezk.15:1, Ezk.16:1, Ezk.17:1, Ezk.17:11, Ezk.18:1, Ezk.20:2, Ezk.20:45, Ezk.21:1, Ezk.21:8, Ezk.21:18, Ezk.22:1, Ezk.22:17, Ezk.22:23, Ezk.23:1, Ezk.24:1, Ezk.24:15, Ezk.24:20, Ezk.25:1, Ezk.26:1, Ezk.27:1, Ezk.28:1, Ezk.28:11, Ezk.28:20, Ezk.29:1, Ezk.29:17, Ezk.30:1, Ezk.30:20, Ezk.31:1, Ezk.32:1, Ezk.32:17, Ezk.33:1, Ezk.33:33, Ezk.34:1, Ezk.35:1, Ezk.36:16, Ezk.37:15, Ezk.38:1, Hos.1:1, Mic.1:1, Joel.1:1, Jon.1:1, Jon.3:1, Jon.3:3, Zep.1:1,  Hag.1:3, Hag.2:1, Hag.2:10, Hag.2:20, Zec.1:1, Zec.1:7, Zec.4:8, Zec.6:8, Zec.7:1, Zec.7:4, Zec.7:8, Zec.8:1, Zec.8:18, Zec.9:1, Zec.34:12

    I have given you all these verses that I have found, now I will not be going over ever single verse, but a select few that truly will make you question your beliefs if your beliefs are Arianism, and or might even teach you something new that you had not truly known before.
    4 The word of Jehovah came to me, saying: 5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I sanctified you. I made you a prophet to the nations." 6 But I said: "Alas, O Sovereign Lord Jehovah! I do not know how to speak, for I am just a boy." 7 Jehovah then said to me: "Do not say, 'I am just a boy.' For you must go to all those to whom I send you, And you should say everything that I command you. 8 Do not be afraid because of their appearance, For 'I am with you to save you,' declares Jehovah." 9 Then Jehovah stretched out his hand and touched my mouth

    Here we are told by Jeremiah that the Word of Jehovah came to him and the Word of Jehovah said to him, 'BEFORE I FORMED YOU IN THE WOMB' and 'BEFORE YOU WERE BORN I SANCTIFIED YOU.' So the Word of Jehovah formed Jehovah in his mothers womb and He even knew Jeremiah before he was even formed. Who but God alone can form one in the womb and even know one before they are even born and formed? So what is the Word of Jehovah, well Jeremiah tells us by saying, 'O SOVEREIGN LORD JEHOVAH.' Then in Jeremiah it says that Jehovah began speaking to him after he just called the Word of Jehovah, Jehovah. The Word of Jehovah who is Jehovah told Jeremiah that you must say everything I command you, the it says Jehovah stretched his hand and touched Jeremiah's mouth. So We are told first the Word of Jeremiah came, but nowhere we were told that Jehovah came, yet Jehovah reached out and touched Jeremiah. Clearly, the Word of Jehovah is Jehovah but not the Father who is also Jehovah.
    1 This is what Jehovah told me: "Go and buy a line belt for yourself and put it around your waist, but do not dip it in water." 2 So I bought the belt according to the word of Jehovah and put it around my waist. 3 And the word of Jehovah came to me a second time: 4 "Take the belt that you bought and are wearing and get up, go to the Euphrates, and hide it there in a cleft of the crag." 5 So I went and hid it by the Euphrates, just as Jehovah had commanded me. 6 But many days later Jehovah said to me: "Get up, go to the Euphrates, and take from there the belt that I commanded you to hide there."

    So first it says that Jehovah came to Jeremiah, and then commanded him to go buy a linen belt, then Jeremiah said he did this according to the Word of Jehovah, then it says that the Word of Jehovah came a second time. If you refer back up to the list of appearances, you know this cannot mean this is the second time the Word of Jehovah appears to him in total, this means the person in verse 1 who is called Jehovah, is this Word of Jehovah. Then the Word told Jeremiah to go hide the belt, the Jeremiah said that Jehovah had commanded him to hide the belt. Then Jeremiah said that Jehovah came to him many days later and had him go dig up the belt that Jehovah had commanded him to hide.
    1 The word of Jehovah came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying: 2 "Get up, go to Nineveh the great city, and proclaim judgement against her, for their wickedness has come to my attention." 3 But Jonah got up to run away from Jehovah to Tarshish; he went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish. So he paid for fare and went aboard to go with them to Tarshish, away from Jehovah

    The Word of Jehovah came to Jonah and commanded him to go to Nineveh to proclaim judgement, but then it says that Jonah got up and ran away from Jehovah. When did Jehovah come to him here? I only read the Word of Jehovah came to him, so this Word of Jehovah must be Jehovah.
        1 After this the word of Jehovah came to Abram in a vision, saying: "Do not fear, Abram. I am a shield for youYour reward will be very great." 2 Abram replied: "Sovereign Lord Jehovahwhat will you give me, seeing that I continue childless and the one who will inherit my house is a man of Damascus, Eliezer?" 3 Abram added: "You have given me no offspring, and a member of my household is succeeding me as heir." 4 But Look! Jehovah's word in reply to him was, "This man will not succeed you as heir, but your own son will succeed you as heir." 5 He now brought him outside and said: "Look up, please, to the heavens and count the stars, if you are able to do so." Then he aid to him: "So your offspring will become." 6 And he put faith in Jehovah, and He counted it to him as righteousness. 7 Then he added: "I am Jehovah, who brought you out of UR of the Chaldeans to give you this land as your possession."

    Who came to Abram? The Word, and the Word said that he is a shield for Abram, something that is attributed to God is the Psalms. Abram then called the Word, Sovereign Lord Jehovah. Then who promised Abram that his offspring will be like the stars in heaven? The Word of Jehovah, who apparently is able to promise things and have them happen if he wills. Then the Word of Jehovah and said, 'I am Jehovah, who brought you out of the Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land as your possession' and this also shows that the Word can give land to people when he pleases.
    1 The word of Jehovah against Baasha then came to Jehu the son of Hanani, saying: 2 "I raised you up out of the dust and made you leader over my people of Israel, but you kept walking in the way of Jeroboam and caused my people Israel to sin so that they offended me with their sins.-"

    Here the Word of Jehovah said to Jehu that HE raised him out of the dust and made him the leader of HIS people and that Jehu caused HIS people to sin and offend HIM. So the Word of Jehovah formed people, and He raises people up to high places upon the earth and the people of Israel are His and sins offend Him and are against Him.
    8 So Jehovah called again, a third time: "Samuel!" At the he got up and went to Eli and said: "Here I am, for you called me." Eli then realized that it was Jehovah who was calling the boy. 9 So Eli said to Samuel: "Go, lie down, and if he calls you, you should say, 'Speak, Jehovah, for your servant is listening.'" And Samuel went and lay down in his place. 10 Jehovah came and stood there, and he called as at the other times: "Samuel, Samuel!" At this Samuel said: "Speak, for your servant is listening."
    19 Samuel continued growing up, and Jehovah himself was with him, and did not let any of all his words go unfulfilled. 20 All Israel from Dan to Beersheba because aware that Samuel had been confirmed as Jehovah's prophet. 21 And Jehovah continued to appear in Shiloh, for Jehovah revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of Jehovah

    Jehovah, himself was with Samuel as he grew up and when Jehovah made him his prophet, Jehovah appeared in Shiloh and he revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the Word of Jehovah. So this Word of Jehovah can appear oh Jehovah's behalf, is a perfect representation of Jehovah. What Jehovah is, the Word is and can go in Jehovah's place and represent Him perfectly. So the Word of Jehovah is Jehovah but not the Father Jehovah.
    10 Then the word of Jehovah came to Samuel: 11 "I regret that I have made Saul king, for he has turned away from following me and he has not carried out my words." Samuel became very upset, and he kept crying out to Jehovah all night long.
    16 At this Samuel said to Saul: "Stop! Let me tell you what Jehovah said to me last night"

    At the beginning of chapter 15 we are told that the Word of Jehovah comes to Samuel and says that HE regrets making Saul king because Saul turned away from him and doesn't do what the Word instructs. The next day Samuel goes to tell Saul what he was told and says in verse 16, 'Let me tell you what JEHOVAH said to me LAST NIGHT' Wait, I thought we just read the Word of Jehovah came to his last night, but now Samuel is calling the Word of Jehovah, Jehovah. So even Samuel says the Word of Jehovah is Jehovah?
    11 Meanwhile, the word of Jehovah came to Solomon, saying: 12 "As for this house that you are building, if you walk in my statutes and carrying out my judgments and observed all my commandments by walking in them, I will also carry out with you my promise that I made to David your father,"+

    Here in 1 Kings  the Word of Jehovah comes to Solomon and tells him that if Solomon walks in the Word's statutes and carries out the Word's judgments and observe the Word's commandments by walking in them then the Word will carry out the promise He made to David, with Solomon. Note the "+" is citing 2 Samuel 7:13, 1 Chronicles 22:9. We gather from this verse that the Word of Jehovah has statutes that people should follow, and the Word of Jehovah has judgments that it can tell people to serve out and that the Commandments are the of the Words possession. The commandments are from the Word, but I thought they were the commandments of Jehovah? (Read my Article on the Angel of Jehovah to read who gave the Ten Commandments according to the Bible: https://answeringarianism.blogspot.com/2024/08/angel-of-jehovah-is-jehovah.html )
    1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god.

    Here we read that the Word was there in the beginning of the world, and the Word was with God and the Word was, a god? No my friends. You see the Jehovah witnesses' society has a bad habit of acting like Pharisees and Sadducees, who under the influence of Satan, pervert Scripture because the truth is found is Scripture. That is why they changed John 1:1 to read "a god", because if you look at their own Greek Interlinear of the New Testament, John 1:1  doesn't even read this way:
   So even their Greek reads "God was the Word', meaning the Word was God, so why do they call the Word "a god" and in their Greek put god? I do not know entirely why they would choose to mistranslate this verse on purpose because it really doesn't help their case. You see why would talk about God then also mention this other being that is on the side of God but call this being a god? It's like they are putting the Word at the status of pagan gods. When you look at the Greek of John, you see the word, θεόν (Theon) which means God. Then you see the word, θεὸς, (Theos) which they translated as god, but also means God. Theon is the accusative version of Theos, meaning that both mean the exact same thing. So John was calling the Word, God alongside with God the Father.
    8 Later they heard the voice of Jehovah God as he was walking in the garden about the breezy part of the day, and the man and his wife hid from the face of Jehovah God among the trees of the garden.

    Adam and Eve heard the Voice walking in the garden, then they hid from the Face. So first we are told of the Voice, then the Face, they are the same person. When you read Judges 5:5 it cites Exodus 19:18 (Go to my article about how the Word of Jehovah is the Angel of Jehovah: https://answeringarianism.blogspot.com/2024/08/word-of-jehovah-is-angel-of-jehovah.html But wait, I thought John said the Word was there in the beginning?
    9 There he entered a cave and spent the night; and look! Jehovah's word came to him, telling him: "What are you doing here, Elijah?" 10 To this he said: "I have been absolutely zealous for Jehovah the God of armies; for the people of Israel have been forsaken your covenant, your altars they have torn down, and your prophets they have killed with the sword, and I am the only one left. Now they are seeking to take my life away."
    13 As soon as Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his official garment and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. Then a voice asked him; "What are you doing here Elijah?" 14 To this he said: "I have been absolutely zealous for Jehovah the God of armies; for the people of Israel have forsaken your covenant, your altars they have torn down, and your prophets they have killed with the sword, and I am the only one left. Now they are seeking to take my life away."

    The Word of Jehovah came to Elijah at the cave at the beginning of 1 Kings 19 then later a Voice comes to Elijah and the exact same things are said from the Voice and from Elijah that were said from the Word and from Elijah. From these verses we see that the Voice is the Word. that means when back in Genesis when Adam and Eve said they heard the Voice walking, it was the Word of Jehovah walking in the garden. Even the Jews agree with John 1. Here I will show you a quote from  of Genesis from, "The Targum of Jonathan Ben Uzziel.

 "[JERSULAEM. And they made to them vestments.] And they heard the voice of the word of the Lord God walking in the garden in the repose of the day"

  So even the Jewish Targums agree and translate Genesis 3:8 as the Word of the Lord was walking in the garden. So John is correct, the Word of Jehovah was there in the beginning and even Adam and Eve knew the Word and had seen the Word.
    [See this link: http://targum.info/pj/pjgen1-6.htm ] to read the Targum of Genesis Chapters 1-6. I will doing more articles in the future on the Voice of Jehovah and the Face of Jehovah for those of you interested in those and seeing how to connect those to the Word of Jehovah.

"The LORD bless you
and keep you;
the LORD make His face shine upon you
and be gracious to you;
the LORD turn His face toward you
and give you peace." ☦
